Modrina collects no personal data. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting and nothing to buy; the app requests no Android permissions and never opens a network connection. Your trip list stays on your handset.
Modrina is written and published by an individual developer rather than a company. Where data protection law refers to a data controller, that person is it — a role with nothing to administer, because the app gathers nothing.

This is the important one. A guide to places has every excuse to request location: what is nearby, how far to drive, directions from here. Modrina asks for none of it. It has no location permission, derives no position from the network or from wi-fi names, and has no idea which country it is being opened in.
That matters more in a travel app than almost anywhere else, because location history from a trip is a map of where a person went, when, and with what interest. There is no such map here, so there is nothing to leak, sell or hand over.
The places you save are kept in the app's own private storage on the handset. Nothing is uploaded, no profile of your intentions is assembled, and no advertising or travel company learns that you are thinking about a particular lake in August. The list is a note to yourself, not a lead.
A single small file, holding only:
Nothing in it identifies you: no name, email address, contacts, photos, location, advertising identifier or device identifier. The file never leaves the phone and the developer never sees it.
Every page in Norwegian and English, the photographs, the practical notes and the search index are compiled into the app. Nothing is fetched while you read, no map tiles are downloaded, and no page loads on demand — which is the whole point in a cave car park with no coverage, and the reason the app costs you no roaming data abroad.
Because nothing is fetched, the opening times, prices, ticket rules, bus timetables and road conditions in the app are as accurate as the last update and no more. Cave systems close for conservation, lake roads close for works, and seasonal opening shifts every year.
Check the operator's own information before you travel, and follow the safety instructions given at the site rather than anything read in an app. Caves and mountain paths are genuinely dangerous places to improvise in.

No analytics library and no crash reporter, so no usage events, session logs or crash traces leave the handset — the developer does not know which places are popular or when you open the app. No billing library, so no page, region or feature sits behind a price and no payment data exists. No account, no sync, no reviews, no sharing.
Modrina requests no Android runtime permissions: not camera, microphone, location, contacts, storage or notifications.
None. The app opens no connection to any server, so nothing leaves the handset to be intercepted and nothing arrives that could change its behaviour after installation. Links to an operator's website, where an entry gives one, open in your browser and are subject to that site's own terms.
Installing or updating Modrina is a transaction between you and Google, handled under Google's own privacy policy and its agreement with you. What reaches the developer is the aggregated, anonymous console view — installs, ratings, country totals — which identifies nobody.
If a future version ever touches the network, this page is rewritten before that version is published and the change stated plainly.
The app is a straightforward travel guide suitable for any age. Since nothing is collected from anyone, nothing is collected from children, and there are no adverts, no chat, no sharing and nothing to buy.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation as it applies in the EEA, including Norway, you have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over personal data held about you, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Each of those needs data to act on, and none of yours is held — written confirmation is available on request.
Your trip list is removed by clearing it in the app, clearing the app's data in Android settings, or uninstalling Modrina. No copy survives anywhere else, because none was ever made.
Complaints may be addressed to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.no) or to the supervisory authority where you live, though a note to the developer usually settles things sooner.
This page is updated only when the app changes in a way that affects privacy, and the date near the top changes with it. Builds already installed keep behaving exactly as described.
